We are a non-profit organization formed in 1983
to promote all aspects of genealogy.
Welcome to the Family History Society of Arizona, Inc. (FHSA) website.

Our purpose is to provide fellowship with others who share your interest in genealogy.
Currently, the Society sponsors two annual events:
  • The all day FALL SEMINAR features a well-known genealogy speaker.
  • The MARCH ANNUAL MEETING showcasing a noteworthy speaker for half a day.

An individual membership in FHSA is $20.00 and a family membership is $25.00. The membership year is from September 1 to August 31 of following year.

Presently we have seven FHSA chapters in the Valley. (See links to Chapter information on the home page.)

  • FHSA Chapter Location Maps.
Guests are welcome to attend any of our chapter meetings to see what we have to offer in the way of informative classes and programs on genealogical research techniques.  

The Family History Society of Arizona. Inc. was formed in 1983 with the following objectives:

  • To promote, encourage and foster the study of and research of family histories, genealogies and original genealogical research.
  • To encourage and assist in collection, preservation and dissemination of material related to genealogical research.
  • To encourage and instruct members in the ethical principles, scientific methods, and effective techniques of genealogical research.
  • To raise funds for any of the forgoing objectives of the Society and to accept donations, gifts, legacies and bequests.

Please join us, if you are new to genealogy we want to help you learn how to start researching your family heritage. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
